OnePlus today just announced the OnePlus 3T. As the name suggests, the T is a relatively small upgrade over the OnePlus 3 that debuted earlier in the year. Both phones look largely the same, but under the hood, the OnePlus 3T is quite different from the OnePlus 3. Design
The OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T sport the exact same design, dimensions, and weight. (152.7 x 74.7 x 7.35mm, 158g) OnePlus does offer the 3T in a new Gunmetal color. The handset is not available in the Graphite Grey color like the OnePlus 3
Display
Both phones come with a 5.5-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED display that is protected by Gorilla Glass 4
Chipset
The OnePlus 3T features a slightly faster clocked Snapdragon 821 chipset
The chipset is clocked at 2.35GHz compared to the Snapdragon 820 inside the OnePlus 3 running at 2.15GHz
Both phones come with an Adreno 530 GPU, though the one on the 3T is clocked slightly faster
Camera
The OnePlus 3T comes with the same 16MP OIS shooter at its rear as the OnePlus 3
The EIS implementation has been improved on the OnePlus 3T while recording videos
At the front though, the OnePlus 3T features a 16MP selfie shooter
The 16MP Samsung sensor features Phase Detection AF In comparison, the OnePlus 3 features a fixed focus 8MP selfie shooter
Storage
While the OnePlus 3 is only available in 64GB storage, the OnePlus 3T will be available in 64GB and 128GB storage variants
Battery
The OnePlus 3T comes with a 3400mAh battery, which is slightly bigger than the 3000mAh battery found on the OnePlus 3
Despite coming with a bigger battery, the OnePlus 3T has the same weight as the OnePlus 3
Software
Both phones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with OxygenOS
The OnePlus 3T does come with many new system apps, but they will also be made available to the OnePlus 3 Both devices will receive software updates at the same time
Price
The OnePlus 3T has been priced at $439 and $479 for the 64GB and 128GB variants The OnePlus 3 is priced at $399 making it a wee bit cheaper than the T
