William James Sidis was born into the Sidis family on the 1st of April, 1898, and both of his parents; Boris and Sarah Sidis were Ukrainian-Jewish immigrants who lived in New York City at the time. Boris Sidis was a successful phycologist, and his wife; Sarah was one of the few successful women doctors at the time.
It was almost certain that William Sidis would be a genius, given that both of his parents were very intelligent. The couple also equipped the boy with books to strengthen his intelligence.
